Last Chance at the Stanley

without comments

That’s Right. The society has stopped giving guided tours of the Stanley theater in New Jersey as of January 2010. But thankfully, there is still one last chance to see this beautiful assembly hall on a very special Bethel Coach Tour! All those taking our March 27th - April 3rd tours to visit the Bethel facilities in New York will not only have a chance to visit the Stanley but also will get to attend the Memorial there as well! Sign up today by phone or online so you can have a part in this very special trip!

FOR ALL FUTURE TOURS: If you’re not able to make it on this tour, you will miss having the last tour of the Stanley Theater (it can no longer be offered on our tours), but you will be able to see something spectacular in it’s place! We will now be having a very special tour at the Metropolitan Museum of Art! This carefully planned bible tour started about three years ago and is organized by a Oasis Group Travel [Link] and reflects a deep appreciation for Bible truths and history. The tour takes about three hours (there is a half-an-hour break about half way through the tour), and is entitled: “The Woman and the Seed.”

Where’s the 2010 Tour Catalog?

without comments

We are printing the 2010 tour line-up and will be sending it soon!
However, what you’ll notice about our new ‘catalog’ is that it’s not
actually a catalog at all, but in fact, a postcard with an overview of
our tours. Why this change? Like so many businesses in today’s
economy, we’ve found that making full use of our website is a better
way to keep our Brothers and Sisters fully informed of the latest
changes and additions to our tour lineup (and without the cost of
sending paper documents)! This will be our final paper delivery of our
tour catalog and  we will, from here on out, deliver updates and
information via the internet (email). Therefore, to make sure you keep
up-to-date with our tours, please make sure we have a current and
reliable email address to give you new information*, and make sure
your friends and family know of this change as well. We appreciate
your choosing us as your tour company to enjoy a Bethel vacation and
apologize for any inconvenience this may possibly cause.

* You can help us by adding email@bethelcoachtours.com into your email
services trusted senders list. That will help keep BCT on your email
providers ‘approved’ list for email domains. Never will we send you spam or
give/sell your email address to other businesses!

What one Travel Provider said about traveling to Mexico

without comments

Apple Vacations Information for Travelers to Mexico-March 5, 2009. The U.S. Department of State recently issued a Travel Alert, warning of increased violence and drug-related conflicts taking place in several border towns of Mexico. Intensified criminal activity in Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez, and the City of Chihuahua, among other border locations, is a fact and not to be ingnored YET Apple Vacations has sent tens of thousands of travelers to the major Mexico resort areas over the past few months without incident. Our Vacation Satisfaction Survey results confirm that Apple Vacations’ customers are enjoying a very positive vacation experience in Mexico, and would recommend their destination to friends and family. Apple’s vacation satisfaction scores from customers traveling to Mexico in 2009 actually exceeded previous levels.Apple Vacations is in daily contact with our destination management company, with hundreds of Apple Vacations Resort Representatives in Mexico to serve you. They too have confirmed that the resort areas have not been affected.

When vacationing anywhere, visitors are encouraged to stay in the tourist areas and exercise common sense and proper precautions.

Driving to Mexico Tourist Destinations

without comments

SPECIAL MEXICO TRAVEL SAFETY ADVISORY - Numerous major US Motor Coach Tour Companies travel to San Carlos every week with around 40 older/retiree passengers per coach; many thousands of tourists per year.  They have never experienced any drug related violence. Recent FBI statistics show the murder rate per 100,000 inhabitants in Baltimore is 43.3, Washington DC is 29.1, Detroit is 47 and Mexico about 10.  Life is statistically far more dangerous in the north.  Paul G. from Arizona said “I would definitely say that the impression that the Americans get in the media is more intense and hyped-up than reality.”  Richard L. from New Mexico said “Millions of people go to Mexico every year without any incident whatsoever.  However, I never drive my car at night and I always use the toll roads rather than driving through towns and cities.  It’s faster that way, too.”  Henry G. from Nevada said “The situation not significant for most tourists……But people need to be careful and stay informed where the major incidences are happening.”  Nancy K. from California said “People who know Mexico will keep going. It is less expensive than many places, and it is easier to get there.” She continued “But then, I’m cautious. I don’t do stupid things. I dress appropriately and I’m not rude to people. I try to speak Spanish as much as possible,” she said, “These are all the things that I do as a traveler anywhere.”  Looking at crime statistics, it would appear that Americans are safer in Mexico, especially Sonora, than they are in many parts of the United States.  Generally, the violence is Mexicans against one another and the vast majority of Mexico’s murder victims are themselves involved in the drug trade.  This is also true with kidnapping, it’s not tourists or snowbirds.  It’s also important to remember that the rise in violence is due to the pressure being placed on the cartels and corruption by a Mexican President and new administration that is dedicated to clean things up and removing as much corruption as possible. On a personal note, Camilla and I have traveled to and from San Carlos for more than 10 years.  We have always traveled the main Federal Highway 15 and used common sense.  We follow the rules.  Neither we nor our friends or customers, to our knowledge, has ever been the victim of any drug related violence.  We are not travel experts and we can’t tell anyone what to do, but we are personally very comfortable traveling back and forth.

What makes a Bethel Vacation with BCT special!

without comments

1) You get to travel to visit the coolest places in the whole world (Branch Facilities) with the best people in the world (Jehovah’s Witnesses).

2) With trips that include NYC the BCT tour guides are usually local Pioneers who really know the city well. The know where to go, what to do and where not to go and what not to do.

3) BCT Europe trips also use local Tour Guides, when possible, or the owners of BCT or BCT employees opt to go as tour guides. Most have been tour guides on the trip of their choice many times and every one benefits from their experience.

4) BCT tries to us hotels they’ve had good success with before, if at all possible. When not possible, they do their best to checkout the hotel in advance to make sure it’s clean and safe.

5) When transportation is provided, all efforts are made to use a experienced and, if possible, professional drivers. The driver is expected to make the trip about the passengers NOT about themselves. Drivers are expected to be accommodating and friendly. Over the many years, several drivers driving for BCT have either studied with Jehovah’s Witnesses or have even progressed to Baptism because of the good witness given to them on the trips.

The NEW BCT Website

without comments

It took us nearly two years, but we’ve finally uploaded the newest and best version of the Bethel Coach Tours website to date at 11:45 AM on December 24th, 2008!

Why Did It Take So Long?
It took us a while to get the new site ready because not only does our website contain lots and lots of content (thus lots and lots of pages had to be recreated in their entirety), but we also wanted the new site to give our customers something special - an online experience that we were never able to offer in past version of the site. Of course, from a  visual standpoint too, the site had to look nice, be easy to navigate and to give our customers more options than we ever have as well.

What Does This Version Include?
An incredible amount of thought, effort and man hours were put into designing and implementing a totally new and unique online reservation system so that our tours can now be bought online…
